Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how SharedShoppingList uses data in local mode and shared group mode.

1. What the app does

SharedShoppingList is a shopping list app that can be used on one device or in a shared group.

2. Data used on one device

In local mode, the app may store shopping lists, items, quantities, categories, purchase states, and app settings on the device.

3. Data used in shared groups

In shared group mode, the app may use data needed to keep one common list across participating devices, including group name, display names of participants, invite code, list items, quantities, categories, and purchase status.

4. What the app does not use

If a user changes phones, the app is installed again and the user joins the shared group again with an invite code.

5. Why data is used

Data is used only to provide the app’s core functions: maintaining shopping lists, organizing categories, syncing shared groups, and showing purchase states.

6. Storage and sharing

In local mode, data is stored on the device. In shared group mode, data needed for synchronization is processed through the app’s sync infrastructure so that connected devices can see the same shared list.

We do not sell user data.

7. Data deletion and stopping use

Local data can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing app data on the device. In shared mode, a participant can stop using the shared list by leaving the group on that device. Shared group data may remain available to other participants while the group exists.

8. Third-party services

If the release version uses third-party sync, analytics, or crash-reporting services, those services and their role should be reviewed before publishing and reflected in the final Google Play declarations.
